Liverpool-based artist Wilroy has shared his debut EP.
Too Dark To See The Green serves as a cathartic journey through the arc of heartache, as told through the ghosts of 70’s soul men. His music paints grand, maximalist sonics: tracks change shape and mutate as they go, akin to the evolution of a dream. The EP’s 5 tracks wring out every last drop; from the opening nightmarish strings, and the dungeon-low dirge of the title track, to the liberated, gospel highs of Ascension.
Over five tracks his hazy, soulful vocals are soundtracked by an array of genre-pushing soundscapes that seem a little hotchpotch, but work an absolute treat.
