Sizzling punk-funk excursions from Don Cherry. Recorded in 1985 at Studio Caroline, a hotbed for the African diaspora in Paris during the 80s, Home Boy, Sister Out saw Cherry team up with French-Chilean musician and producer Ramuntcho Matta. The album features French post punk muse Elli Medeiros, avant garde poet Brion Gysin and cult Senegalese drummer Abdoulaye Prosper Niang. Newly remastered the double vinyl album also features five bonus tracks culled from Matta’s vauts. Highly recommended!
