Video: Onyx Collective – Fruit Stand

Last year at the end of October New York jazz crew Onyx Collective, dropped an hynotic slow-burning track called ‘Fruit Stand’ from their first EP ‘The Lower East Suite Pt. 1‘.

“On a warm summer day in Chinatown, I ran into Zalmai Levat, who just returned from his trip to Japan,”  explains founder and saxophonist Isaiah Barr. “He showed me the footage he took, and told me about his experience of living on a monastery for 3 weeks. I immediately thought, These are perfect visuals for ‘Fruit Stand!’ That’s how this video came together. The goal is to continue to support and add to the creative community and collaborate with as many artists that are around us.”

It’s a engrossing visual which wonderfully captures the band’s vibe, enjoy the video up top and look out for their new album which is out tomorrow via Big Dada.
